Terms of Use
These Terms govern use of MapleWish, a service operated by Maple Vibe Inc., Ontario, Canada. By using the site, creating an account, purchasing a leaf, applying for assistance, or entering a giveaway, you agree to the terms that apply to that activity.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must have legal capacity to enter the applicable agreement. Applicant accounts are intended for people who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory. Parents or legal guardians may apply for assistance concerning a child or household member.
You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential, providing accurate information, and notifying MapleWish if you believe your account has been compromised.
2. Acceptable use
You may not use MapleWish to commit fraud, impersonate another person, submit knowingly false information, interfere with service security or availability, scrape or harvest personal information, upload malicious material, or violate applicable law or another person's rights.
3. User content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant MapleWish the limited rights needed to store, process and use private submissions for the purposes described when they are collected. Private applicant material is not licensed for public publication merely because it was submitted.
If you separately approve a public story, photo, leaf message or other public content, the permissions for that material are governed by the applicable publication consent or feature terms.
4. MapleWish content and intellectual property
The MapleWish name, site design, artwork, software and other MapleWish-owned material are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may share normal links and use ordinary site-sharing features, but may not commercially copy or republish MapleWish-owned material without permission.
5. Service availability and changes
We may maintain, change, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We will try to avoid changes that unfairly affect completed transactions or existing rights.
6. No guarantee of assistance or outcome
Creating an account or submitting an application does not guarantee selection, funding, publication, or any particular outcome. MapleWish has limited resources and may review requests based on program fit, verification, urgency, available funds, safety and operational capacity.
7. Third-party services
MapleWish may rely on third-party providers for payments, hosting, email, security, analytics or other functions. Their own terms and privacy practices may also apply when you interact directly with them.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MapleWish is provided on an “as available” basis. Maple Vibe Inc. is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the service where such limitations are legally permitted.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer-protection rights.
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or close an account where reasonably necessary for fraud, abuse, safety, legal compliance or serious violations of these Terms. We may preserve records where reasonably required for legal, security, accounting or dispute purposes.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory rights you have under the laws of your province or territory.
