Refund Policy
This policy applies to paid MapleWish leaf purchases and other consumer payments made directly through MapleWish.
1. General rule
Because a paid leaf is a digital item that may be created and displayed shortly after payment, completed purchases are generally final once fulfilled, except where a refund is required by law or where MapleWish determines a refund is appropriate under this policy.
2. Situations we will review
- duplicate or accidental duplicate charges;
- a technical error that charged an amount different from the amount authorized;
- a payment made using a payment method without the authorized holder's permission;
- a MapleWish cancellation or failure that prevents the paid digital leaf from being provided; or
- another situation where applicable law requires a refund or remedy.
3. Wish changes
If a particular Wish closes, is completed or cannot proceed, the direct-help allocation may be redirected as described in the Contribution Terms. A change in recipient does not automatically create a refund right unless required by law or MapleWish specifically promised otherwise at checkout.
4. How to request a review
Use the MapleWish contact form as soon as reasonably possible and include the email used for the transaction, the approximate date and amount, and a short explanation. Do not send full card numbers or banking passwords.
5. Payment disputes
If you believe a payment was unauthorized, you may also have rights through your card issuer or payment provider. MapleWish may provide transaction records to the processor as reasonably necessary to investigate a dispute.
6. Mandatory rights
This policy does not limit any non-waivable refund, cancellation or consumer-protection right available under applicable law.
